WEATHER FORECAST
FAIR TO FINE The following weather forecast was issued at noon by. the Meteorological Office, Wellington, covering the .southern district—Dunedin* Port Chalmers* Tapanui, Winton, Invercargill, Riverton, Orepuki,, Bluff, Halfmoon Bay• There has been , little change in tbs situation. A rather intense anticyclone is still covering the Tasman Sea and New Zealand. Forecast: Light to moderate southerly winds, becoming variable, and later northerhes predominating. Weather fair to fine for the most part and warmer; but some scattered showers later in the far west apd south. OVERCAST, BUT MILD. Another fine week-end of a success sion in the past three weeks was. again: promised by settled, though _ overcast* conditions this morning, which, however, was warm and calm, there being just a suggestion of a south-west breeze. The barometer was steady at 34 at noon, when a maximum temperature of 67.1 deg had been recorded, th« minimum reading being 62.4 deg. Yesterday’s respective temperatures wenr 65deg and 51.3 deg.
