The council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association resolved last night not to sanction the tour by three New South Wales athletes this season as suggested by the Wellington Centre, it being held that such a tour was outside the scope laid down by the council recently for the conduct of tours by individual centres. Wellington’s proposal involved appearances at Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, and in the Wellington territory. Should the Wellington Centre or any other centre desire to conduct a minor tour between now and the next meeting of the council in January, the Administration Committee was empowered to act. .h s ffie result of further consideration having been given the matter by the Auckland Centre Messrs Tracy and Ingram will remain its delegates. Mr Tracy announced that the matter of which the dispute arose had been cleared up satisfactorily. The Auckland Centre desired that it should bring forward such matters as it wished before the council, hut they as delegates would have complete freedom as to how they voted.
