TAR-SEALING REQUIRED.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I noticed in your paper a letter on the Main South road and the Caversham Valley road. The bus runs from the tram terminus on the Main South road, and on its return to the tram terminus it runs down Burnett street to the Valley road. As Burnett street is not tar-sealed it causes the dust to enter the people’s houses, and the people have to be using their brooms to sweep it out. If the Corporation was to have Burnett street tar-sealed it would be doing a kind action, and if it can’t have it tar-sealed, why not make the bus keep to the tar-sealed road? Then we should know the Corporation has common sense.—l am, etc.. Look-out Point. December 10.
