SMALL MARGIN OF VOTES
NATIONALIST SEEKS MAGISTERIAL RECOUNT [Pep. United Press Association.] PALMERSTON N., December 4. An application has been made by Mr J. Linklater, the defeated Nationalist candidate for Manawatu, for a magisterial recount of the votes after the official declaration is made, as the margin in favour of Mr C, 3j. Hunter, the successful Labour candidate, was only 30 votes on the first count.
