Of the meat people in Britain consume, 44 per cent, is home supplied, 34 rr cent, comes from the Argentine, per cent, from Australia, and 16 per cent, from other Empire sources. Every part of a shark has a commercial use. The skin becomes leather, its organs yield oil, its head provides glue, its bones are ground down as a fertiliser, and even its teeth are used by jewellers.
