PamlUon was installed as chief for the evening, and be was assisted by wave E. M'Bianmd. Under the auspices of the North Otßgo Men’s Hookey Sub-associatron the matches for the-Jaoobs s Handicap Cup competition were continued at King George’s Park on Saturday, overhead conditions being excellent, while the ground wfis in good order. Municipal met Rovers, and secured a win by 6 goals to 4, Municipal haying a handicap of 6 goals. Rovers had a handicap of two goals, but, although they were definitely superior on the day s play, they only managed, to secure two goals, . making their, total four. . R. Cleveland. After routine business had been transacted three candidates were initiated into the order, and one brother was placed on the medical list. One clearance to the Loyal Hand and Heart Lodge was also granted. A motion of condolence was passed with P.G. Brp. Oats in the death of his mother. P.G. Bro. Pinder reported on the visit to the Loyal Kakanui -Lodge. OVERSEAS-ALLOCATION. Advice has been received of the following overseas allocation for the port of Oamaru for August:— The Port Fairy, due August 30, to load 11,000 freight carcasses and general cargo for London. Messrs Darling and MiDowell are the agents. This may possibly be the last shipment of the vear.
