DUNEDIN COMPETITIONS
The Dunedin Competition’s Society’s 34th annual festival will be held in ’■Us Ma ; csty’s Theatre from August 21 to September 7 and intending cornpctito.s .are reminded that entries close on Wednesday. July 3. Indications point to the following festival being a very interesting one and a large entry is anticipated. It is hoped that good entries will be received for the firms’ choir, Bible classes and church choirs, also for the half-hour entertainment, ballets, impromptu speeches and debates. A number of now sections have been added to this year’s syllabus, including instrumental items to cncourago members of junior orchestras. Competitors are requested to send in their entries early and not leave them to the last day.
