DOMINION AGREEMENT WITH COMPANIES [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, June 28. A complete agreement was reached in the dominion dispute' between the New Zealand Federated Storemen and Packets and Warehouse Employees’ Industrial Association of Workers and the Shell Company of New Zealand and others at the second day of the Conciliation Council sitting to-day. ■ It was agreed that the present award ! n renewed with the following amendments: —That the rates of pay for shoremen bo. increased from .-€3 i’s to V! 18s 9d; storemen in charge of two or more men other t’’an casn-.’s from £3 17s Cd to £4 Is 6d; head storemen from £4. 2s 6d to £4 6s 9d; casual workers from Is 9]d per hour to Is 10]d per hour. The rates for youths remain as in the present award, except that for youths between 20 and 21 years the rate has been increased from £2 to £2 2s 6d. The rates for men working on shifts were raised, from £4 5s to £4 9s 3d; class A watchmen from £3 17s 6d to £4 Is 6d; class B from £4 2s Gd to £4 Gs 9d. All hourly workers’ rates were increased by Icl per hour, and an annual week’s holiday on full pay was granted to permanent employees. The award comes into force next Friday for the term of one year.
