DUNEDIN STUCK EXCHANGE ... On tho call over "this morning no transactions were effected, but prices were maintained. Banks were in good demand, few sellers quoting. Milbuni Limes were inquired for, hut there were no sellers, and ‘ Sun ’ Newspapers were wanted, without attracting a seller. New Zealand Breweries were fractionally weaker, buyers offering 54s 9d, with sellers standing 6d away. There were few mining quotations, and with the exception of Bendigo Goldlights there were no improvements registered. New Zealand Government Loans were in demand. SALES. The operations of the trust over that- period have shown a definite improvement, and interim interest at the rate of 5 per centum per annum has been paid on thecompany’s debenture issue.

THE SEARCH FDR GOLD TALISMAN DUBBO The Golden Dawn battery treated 56 tons for the Talisman Dubbo Co. for an actual realisation of £394. GOLDEN DAWN The Golden Dawn Co., for the nine working clays ended April ‘49, treated 226 tons for £1,241 value of gold, being taken at £7 2s an ounce. GOLDFIELDS DREDGING CO. LTD. As the ground worked by the dredge during the past week has consisted entirely of worked ground, the dredgemaster considers it inadvisable ■ to wash-up until next week-end. BROKEN HILL SOUTH , , FOURTH DIVIDEND OF Is 6d. Broken Hill South, Ltd., Melbourne, has declared a fourth dividend of Is 6d a share for the current financial year,' which ends on Juno 30, making the total distribution 30 per cent., compared with 25 per cent, in the previous year and 15 per cent, in 1932-33. The dividend is payable on June 15.
