GIFTS FOR INSTITUTIONS
£.1,700 BEQUEATHED [Per United Press Association.] n AUCKLAND, May 10. Twelve, Auckland institutions t and charities will receive benefits under the will of Miss Mina Tait Horton, or Remuera, whose death occurred on May 3. The following is a list of the bequests, which amount to £l,7oo:—St. Mary’s Homes (Otahnhu) £IOO, the Plunket Society (Auckland), £100; the central fund of the Auckland Dioceso of the Church of England. £300; the Papatoetoo Orphan Home, £IOO j the Diocesan Pension Board (clergy widows and orphans’ fund). £100; the mission of the Order of the Good Shepherd (Auckland), £200; the'chaplain of the Church of England at Mount Eden Gaol (to be used in the furtherance of his work at the gaol), £SO; the Dock Street Mission, £SO; the Community Sunshine Association, £100; the Diocesan High School for Girls (Auckland), £300; the Auckland*University College Council, £200; St. Aidan’s Church (Remuera), £IOO. In addition, Miss Horton bequeathed a sum to be distributed among the older employees of Messrs Wilson and Horton Limited, proprietors of the New Zealand ' Herald.’
