KING’S JUBILEE THANKSGIVING. King’s Jubilee thanksgiving services will be conducted by the Rev. W. Allen Stevely at First Church. The subjects will be: Morning, ‘ The Queen Mother ’; evening, ‘ The King’s Broadcast.’ Dr Galway will be the organist. Rev. D. C. Herron will conduct both services in Knox Church. In the morning the service will be one of thanksgiving. The subject for the evening will be ‘ Bearing the Yoke When Young.’ Thanksgiving services in connection with the 1 King’s Jubilee will be held at the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church. At the close of the evening service a short organ recital will be given by Miss Jean Begg. The semi-jubilee of the King’s reign will be commemorated at the morning service in St. Stephen’s Church, when the Rev. Thomas Miller will preach on ‘ Prayers and Giving of Thanks for Kings.’ In the evening Ins subject will be ‘ The Transforming Vision.’ Services appropriate to the King’s Silver Jubilee will be observed in the South Dunedin Presbyterian Church. The Rev. R. T. Dodds will conduct the morning service, and in /the evening, the Rev. D. S Mason will preach and the Rev. R. T. Dodds will induct the new elders. _ The choir will sing ‘ The King Shall Rejoice ' (Goss). _ ' ' ' > ' • In connection with the King’s Silver Jubilee celebrations, a united thanksgiving service, to be conducted by the Port Chalmers Ministers’ Association, will be held in the Presbyterian Church to-morrow evening, at , 6.30. A cordial invitation is extended to all citizens. ' At St. Matthew’s Church there will bo a Jubilee thanksgiving service in the morning, at which the preacher will, be the Ven. W. Curzon-Siggets, M.A. In the evening there will be a service of remembrance for the late ; Mr John Davidson. There will bo a parade of the ZingariRichmond Football Club members, and the preacher will be the Rev. J. .L. Anderson. M.A.

A Jubilee thanksgiving service will be held at Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, at 11 a.m. At 2,30 p.m. a Mothers’ Day service will take place, with special children’s singing. In the evening the provincial branch of the League of Mothers will attend church, parade. The Rev. 0. H. ■ The blind-soldier evangelist, Mr Andrew Johnston, will continue his mission in Roslyn Baptist Church, Taieri road, and will speak at both services and each night the following week, except Saturday. Mrs Johnston is the soloist. They labour _ under the auspices of the New Zealand Bible Training Institute, Auckland. The St. Kilda Borough Council and the combined churches have arranged a thanksgiving service in the St. Kilda'Coronation Hall on Sunday, at 3 p.m. ,to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty the King. Lodges and all other bodies within the borough are - invited; to: attend officially. ' The Rev. H. Wingfield will preside, and the Rev. T. Skuse will give the address. A large combined choir will lead the singing, and also render, the ‘Te Deum,’ ‘The Radiant Mom,* and_ ‘ Jerusalem.’ An opportunity will be given to contribute towards a Jubilee thanksgiving offering in aid of the unemployed of the St. Kilda Borough. The preacher at night is Mr E. A. Benfell. The choir will render an anthem, ‘ The Lord Is Full of Compassion,’ : Silver Jubilee, services,' conducted by Rev. Albert Mead, will be held in the Moray 1 Place Congregational Church. At the young people’s service in the morning the address will be on ‘ Kingship and-Citizenship,’ and the- evening subject will be ‘ A Regal Christian Testimony,’ The choir will render Merchant's ‘Great is the, Lord,’ and a short devotional service, will bo held after the service. i . At'the United Congregational Church the Rev. C.- G. Hedley-Bycroft will preach in the morning on * Jubilee Thanksgiving.’ Mothers’ Day will be a feature of the_ evening service, the subject being ‘ The Triumph of a Mother’s Love.’ Mr G,- Dyer will contribute a solo. First Church of Christ Scientist, will conduct services in Allbell Chambers, 154 Stuart street. The subject for the morning and evening services wlil be ‘ Adam and Fallen Man.’ Pastor Ralph Gebbie, 8.A., of Auckland, will be the .preacher in connection with the Mountain-top Campaign,* held in Church of Christ, South Dunedin. The morning subjeet is * The Demands of the Hour,’ and the evening, ‘ Thd Romance of the Christian Life.’ These special meetings continue till Tuesday evening. At the Theosonhical Society there will be an address by Dr Stuart Moore, who will sneak on the bidden truth contained in the fairy talc, ‘ The Sleeping Beauty.’ At J the Spiritualist Church to-morrow evening; Mr J. M’Ewan will speak on ‘ The Fruits of Service,’ and Mrs Brooks will follow with clairvoyant messages. The healing centre meets on Thursday evening.
