PIGEON FLYING
The Mornington Homing Pigeon Club flew its third young bird flock race on Saturday from Timaru, when thirty birds, representing nine lofts, where liberated at noon in an easterly wind and fine weather. Tho winning bird flew tho HO miles in 2b 59min 29sec. The results are as follows:—S. Ruddiman’s Chidely, 1,074.1yds per minute, 1; W. Everett’s Favourite, 1,063.4, 2; A. Fraser’s Niggerhead, 1,063.2, 3; Mrs D. Harvey’s Tiger, 1,031.9, 4; F. Nicol’s Schneider, 1,022.0, 5.
