TOLL OF THE CYCLONE
THIRTY-FIVE LOST IN BROOME DISASTER FIVE VESSELS SUNK-OTHERS MISSING Prt,s Association—Bj Telegraph-Copyright PERTH, April 1. (Received April 1, at noon.) It is now known that five boats were sunk in the Broome cyclone, with the loss of thirty-five Jives. Five other vessels are still unaccounted for, and it is feared that they have been lost. An aerial search revealed that eighteen dismasted luggers, together with their crews, were Tying safe in Beagle Bay. The pilot of the plane reported that driftwood, hatch covers, and other flotsam from the boats were noticed about Lapcecle Island for a distance of seven miles.
