The station is usually heard on Sundays up to 5.30 p.m. with the international programme, and requesting reports to Box 98, Havana, Cuba. XHBT, of Mexico City, has also been heard at R 8 going late on occasions, and can bo identified by three notes on a motor horn. Has anyone heard the Budapest station on 19.5 metres F This is reported operating after 1 a.in. 'the programme is directed to America. GSF, DJB, FYA, and PCJ hare all been heard at good strength, but there has been no sign of the liungarian. VK3ME, Melbourne, is working an extended schedule, and is usually at maximum volume, it operates on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Keep watch for HBL, “ Radio Nations,” which is still conducting tests with VK3LR on 31.27 metres on Monday evenings. Although there is a strong heterodyne, the signal is fairly clear. The French station is still very consistent, being held at good speaker strength throughout the afternoon, and is also heard well before 7 a.in. Its present schedule is as follows: 19.68 metres, 12 p.m, to 4 a.m.; 25.2 metres, 4.15 a.m. to 7.15 a.m.; 25.2 metres, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m, ; 25.6 metres, 12 noon to 3 p.m.; and the last session, 4 p.m. until 0 p.m. VK2MK is heard on Sundays and Mondays at the following times:—Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m., 10 p.m. to 2 n.m.; Monday. 2,30 a.m. to 4.30 a.m. For afternoon listening best results will be had from the 31-mctre hand, where several good signals can be tuned in—CISC from 3 to 4 p.m., DJN until 3.30 p.m., W2XAF until 4 p.m., and WIXK until 6 p.m.
