Arch Druid Bro. Grant presided over a large attendance of members of tha Otago Lodge. Invitations were received from the Ivanhoe Lodge for a euchre match, from Linden Lodge for a cribbage match, from Pride of Morn* ington Lodge for installation, of District President. Two candidates were initiated and a further proposition was was received for next meeting. The delegates to the recent Grand Lodge meeting submitted their report and received the thanks of the lodge. A] special vote of thanks was accorded Bro. J. W. Dove for his many services to the lodge as representative extending over a long number of years. A! number of members entered for tha ritual competition, the judges, P.A. Bros. Rankin and Bundle, awarding the positions as follows;—Bro. Harbour 1. Bro. M'Croue 2. Welcome visitors included Bros. Wilson (Bay), Bundle (Ivanhoe), Maher (Lily). A large representative gathering ol members of Nos. 1 and 2 assembled at West Harbour Lodge at its last meeting, the occasion being the installation of District President Bro. Jj R. Paterson. Visitors present wora Grand President Bro. H. R. Hunt, accompanied by the Grand Lodge officers, also Bros. A. Bundle and Metcalf, District Presidents of Nos. I and 2 districts. toast of the Grand Lodga was proposed by Past Grand President: Bro. George Thompson, and replied to by Bro. H. R. Hunt. The newly-in-stalled D.P. was proposed by Fasti Grand President Bro. W. Connor, who,, on behalf of the gathering, congratulated Bro. Paterson on attaining this honourable position and trusted thati his term of office would be a very happy, one. Grand Vice-President Bro. T. : Johnston was called on to make a presentation of a past district president’s collar to Bro. Bundle, and in doing so eulogised the services which this brother had given the lodges in bis district and the Order in general and trusted that Bro. Bundle would findtime to seek further honours in th» Order. The toasts of the Past District Presidents, the Royal Arch Chapter, and visiting brethren were proposed by Bros. R. Walker and A, Baird and responded to by R.A.D. Bro, George Wilson, P.D.P. Bro. D. Reid, and Bro. Workman. During the evening songs,,were rendered by the following:—Mrs Stone, Miss R. Connor, Bros. Condi, Ruston, and Johnston, while Bro. Nash gave a humorous recitatjpn, and Bro. J. Connor a flut* solo. During the supper adjournment the opportunity was taken by Grand President Bro. Hunt, on behalf of Grand Lodge and the gathering assembled, to wish the Arch Druid Sister M. Steadman congratulations on her approaching marriage to Bro. A. Baird, The Arch Druid received the congratulations of all present on the capable manner in which she bad controlled th« meeting.
