A petition for winding up of International Concessions Ltd., under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1933, was mentioned in the Supreme Court before Mr Justice Herdman. The petitioners asked in the alternative that the voluntary winding up of the company might be continued subject to the supervision of the court. The petitioners were G. A. Hart, of Wellington, civil engineer; A. A. Church, of Wellington, clerk; S. W. R. Powell, of Wellington, surgeon dentist; and Mrs Olive Myrtle Zucker, of Wellington. Mr Haigh appeared in support of the petition, Mr Henry appeared for certain Now Plymouth shareholders iu the company, and Mr Richmond opposed the petition on behalf of the present liquidator, A. L. Stedman. When his Honor inquired about the probable duration of the proceedings, Mr Richmond said there was a possibility of it taking all day. Certainly it could not be finished that morning. “ If I got into a matter of this kind I might not be able to finish it,” said his Honor. He added that the position Eas that be could not take it. He was sorry, but it would have to be done by somebody else. He was not able to say what judge was likely to be bore. The matter would be adjourned sine die, and counsel would have to arrange a date with the registrar.
