Edward Mountford Tunnicliffe, alias Monty Tunnicliffe, alias Edward Wallace, labourer and showman, was re# manded by Mr Stout, S.*M., to appeal, at Napier on April 2 on a charge that' on February 19, at Napier, with intent to defraud, he did obtain from tha National Bank of New Zealand’, Ltd., the sum of £I,OOO by falsely representing that a cheque drawn on tlia bank in favour of 303, and purporting to bo signed by Henry D. Harvey, was a good and valid order for that amount. Bail was not sought.
