DECISIVE DEFEAT OF GOVERNMENT Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE. March 29. The no-confidence motion moved in the Legislative Assembly by the Leader of the Country Party (Mr Dunstan) was carried by 40 votes to 23. The Country and Labour Parties voted solidly for it. Following the defeat, of the Ministry the Premier (Sir Stanley Argyle) tendered the Government’s resignation to the Governor. Sir Stanley Argyle informed the Governor that tho only hope of a stable Government was by the formation of a composite Ministry. The Governor consulted Mr Dunstan regarding the formation of a Ministry, but the negotiations have not been concluded
