MOUNTAINOUS SEAS IN ATLANTIC GRAVE FEARS FOR BRITISH STEAMER ITALIAN VESSEL FOUNDERS (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright BUG BY, February 27. (Received February 28, at noon.) Terrible weather is reported from mid-Atlantic. Grave anxiety is felt for the British steamer Blairgowrie, 3,259 tons, of Glasgow, which was on her way to Boston from Swansea. She sent out distress calls yesterday, declaring that her situation was desperate, with no steering gear and her hold full of water. The German liner Europa, the steamer American Banker, and the Dutch steamer Blommeradik were this morning reported to have reached the scene, but found no trace of the vessel. The Blairgowrie had twenty-six persons aboard. The fleet auxiliary steamer Serbol arrived at Gibraltar to-day, thirty-six hours late, having encountered mountainous seas on her way from England. She is stated to have picked up no less than fourteen distress calls during the voyage, and reports that one Italian steamer foundered near Cape Pinisterre, arid that another - vessel was abandoned,
