DEMAND FOR BONUS OPPOSED BY STEEL MAGNATE. Press Association— By Telegraph—Copyright WASHINGTON, February 26. Mr Eugene Grace, president of the Bethlehem Steel Corporation, testifying before the Senate Munitions Committee, condemned the demands of returned veterans for a soldier’s bonus. He said bis own total salary and bonuses in eighteen years, including the war period, totalled 12,282,000 dollars. Senator Bone alleged that the Bethlehem Corporation during the war “ quibbled over profits ” when the United States desperately needed ships which the company was building.
