DANGER FROM THE AIR
IN CASE OF WAR BRITAIN SEEKING COUNTER MEASURES (British Official Wireless.) Press ituociation—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, February 27. (Received February 28, at 1 p.m.) It was stated in reply to a question in the House of Commons that the Air Minister (Lord Londonderry) decided some months ago to appoint a special committee to investigate, as a matter of urgency, the possibility of countering air attacks by utilising recent progress in scientific invention. The committee was already at work, and in due course its report would bo brought before the Committee of Imperial Defence. The Air Attacks Committee includes Mr H. T. T.izard (rector of the Imperial College of Science and Professors Hill and Blackett (of London University). Other distinguished scientists will be invited to contribute to the investigation.
