The ‘ News’-Chroniclc ’ states that a stumbling block to the creation of an Italo-Abyssinian neutral zone has been removed owing to Belgium-and Sweden instructing their military officers who are training Abyssinian levies to cqnfine their activities to that work. Abyssinia desired that they should have assisted in the demarcation. Thus, although Ras Tafari has not made a concession, Italy’s objection concerning the matter has been met. A Rome communique announces that laws for the military training of citizens between eighteen and fifty-live enable the mobilisation of 7,000,000 or 8,000.000 if required. INTERNATIONAL FORGE SUGGESTED LONDON. February 27. (Received February 28, at 1.5 p.m.) In the House of Commons Mr G. Mander qsked Sir John Simon whether in view of the success of the international force preserving peace in the Saar, he would ask the League Council to send a similar force temporarily to occupy the area disputed between Italy and Abyssinia. Sir John Simon replied that there was no similarity between the situation in the Saar and the undefined border between Italy and Abyssinia,
