STRONG —JOPvSON. The Methodist Church, Queen’s Drive, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on November 28, the contracting parties being Eileen May, only daugnter of Mrs Jopson, Naseby, and Raymond Henry, only sou of Mr H. Strong, Dunedin. The bride, entering the church on the arm of her brother, looked very charming in a beautiful gown of ivory satin, close titling to the Knees, then falling in a Haro to form a short train. Her lovely net veil, which was worn well off the face, was held in place with a spray of orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of Arum lilies. She was attended by her cousin, Miss Agnes Marshall, as bridesmaid, who was attired in a lovely gown of ice blue sand crepe, with big picture hat, trimmed with pink to tone, and bouquet of pink carnations and maidenhair i'ern. Mr D. Manson ably carried out the duties of best man. The Rev. Percy Parish was the officiating minister. While the register was being signed Miss Ray Stubbs rendered a solo. After fhc wedding ceremony the guests adjourned to the Embassy balon, where they were received by the bride’s mother, wearing a smart black and white ensemble, with hat to lone, and carrying a bouquet of red roses. She was assisted by the bridegroom’s grandmother, wearing a black morocain frock trimmed with gold, and carrying a bouquet of autumn-tinted llowers. Later, when the young couple travelled south, the bride wore a smart .brown silk swagger suit, mustard hat, and accessories to match. FARQUHARSON—PRINGLE. The marriage of Agnes Mabel, eldest daughter of Mr George Pringle, of Nauru Hill, North Otago, to George Anderson Farquharsoii, son of Mrs Cameron, Dundee, Scotland, was celebrated on Saturday evening, December 22, by the Rev. Scott Allan at First Church, Dunedin. Dr Galway was at the organ. Friends of the bride had decorated the church with pink and white flowers. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of bridal satin, which fell into a graceful train, the sleeves were long and fitting, the only ornament ou the frock being introduced in the diamante clip at the V neck. Her beautifully embroidered veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom. On her arm she carried a sheaf of regal lilies. Miss Jessie Pringle, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of duck-egg blue georgette finished with a sash and a charming frilled cape of pleating. Her picture hat of blue straw was relieved with pink flowers. Her bouquet was of shaded pink carnations and sweet peas. The bridegroom was attended by Air Arthur Oastler as best man. 'Later a reception and dance was held at the Strand Salon, where Mrs Pringle received the guests wearing a navy blue frock and hat to tone, and carrying a bouquet of Red Letter Day roses. For travelling the bride wore a smart ensemble of bine crepe mesa finished with white and a hat to tone.
