The croquet championships were continued, the results being as follows: Mrs Caldon (New Zealand) defeated Mrs Jeffery: Mrs Bartle defeated Captain Hartnell (New Zealand); Mrs Corbet (New Zealand) defeated Miss Morrison: Mrs Terry defeated Mrs Lowe (New Zealand); R. Stratton (New Zealand) defeated Mrs Kerr; Mesdames Paterson and Tenny defeased Mrs Corbet and Stratton (New Zealand): Mrs Caldon and Captain Hartnell defeated Mesdames Whittington and Burton. ROWING INTERCLUB EIGHTS THIS EVENING Unfavourable conditions on the Upper Harbour last eveningj caused by southerly weather, made it necessary for the Otago Rowing Association's Emergency Committee to postpone the annual interclub eight-oar championship contest for a second time, the racing having been first set down for Saturday afternoon. The races will be decided this evening if conditions are suitable over the two-mile championship course from the Cove at Waverley to the shipping basin between the Rattray street and Birch street wharf. The first heat (Otago Rowing Club v. North End Boating Club) is timed to start at 6.30, and the second (Port Chalmers Rowing Club v. Queen's Drive Boating Club) is set down for half an hour later, while the final will be rowed off as soon as possible after the completion of the second heat.
