NEW FORM OF GOVERNMENT BASED ON ANCIENT ROMAN SYSTEM Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, January 20. The ‘ News-Chronicle’s ’ Berlin correspondent says : “ Inspired by the ancient Roman system, the Nazi chiefs are completing a new for.m of Government, by which the Senate, comprising sixty exclusively Nazi members, will replace the discredited Reichstag. Herr Hitler is becoming more Caesarlike than ever. One of the first tasks of the Senate, which will meet at Munich Brown House, will bo the appointment of Herr Hitler’s deputy, for which several hostile candidates are competing. Baron von Neurath (Foreign Minister), not being a Nazi, will be excluded from the Senate, which will be inaugurated about June, when tbe present constitution will be replaced by one in which Germany will be divided into twenty districts, each having a Nazi Governor.”
