RISE JN PRICES BRIGHTER OUTLOOK FOR SAMOA. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright APIA, January 21. (Received January 22, at 11.5 U a.m.) in line with the advance in the London price of copra, and the increased exchange rate, merchants have raised the buying price of native copra Is per 1001 b. The price to European planters has been increased to £4 7 s 6d for sun dried, and £4 17s 6d for hot air dried. Cocoa prices have also advanced to £22 10s per ton for first grade and £l7 10s for second grade. The outlook for 1935 is now much brighter.
