BRIDES WHO WERE LATE
COUPLES GET MIXED LONDON, December 29. The bride nearly married the wrong man at the Old Glee Church at Grimsby this week. ' She was half an hour late in reaching the church—so the vicar decided to carry on with the next wedding and called the bridegroom of the second wedding before the altar. Then a rather flurried bride hurried up the aisle and took her place beside the bridegroom. ■When they looked at each other, however, they realised that they were the separate" halves of two different weddings. Tho fiance of the bride who bad arrived late, after having been told by tho vicar that his wedding.would have to be postponed, had retired to tho vestry to wait, while the bride of the second wedding, who was also late, had not yet reached the church. She duly arrived, and after explanations the vicar married each couple correctly.
