LAWYERS ON STRIKE
PHOTEST AGAINST TAXES BUCHAREST, December 5. Barristers and lawyers throughout the country went on strike this morning in protest against the greatly increased procedure taxes to be levied in accordance with an emergency Bill passed this summer when Parliament was in recess. A lawyer pleading in one of the Bucharest courts this morning was beaten, and another booed bv bis colleagues for not supporting the strike.
