OBITUARY

MR DYNES FULTON [Peb United Press Association.] . AUCKLAND, December 16. The death occurred at Hamilton this afternoon of Mr Dynes Fulton, chairman of directors of the .New Zealand Dairy Company, and deputy-chairman of the New Zealand Dairy Board. Mr Fulton, who was 59 years of age, was born at Pukekohe, and was a noted athlete in his youth, being particularly fond of wrestling and football. He served in the Boer War as a despatch, rider. Mr Fulton owned a farm in the Waitara district of Taranaki when he was a young man, hut he later returned to the Waikato to take up a farm _at Onewhero. He became a director of the Pioneer Dairv Company there and later -of the Waikato Dairy Company. When the latter concern was absorbed by the New Zealand Dairy Company in 1919, be was appointed a director, becoming chairman of the Tifakau Town Board, other local activities he was . the first chairman of the Tuakau Town oßnrd, and president of the Franklin Racing Club. He was chairman of both the Empire Dairies and Amalgamated Dairies at the time of his death. Mr Fulton removed from Tuakau to Hamil-. ton two years-ago. He is survived by his widow and four sons, two of whom are farming at Pukekawa and two at Tuakau. The funeral will take place at Pukekohe on Tuesday.

MR JOHN REIDY The death occurred at the Dunedin Hospital of John (Jack) Beidy, wellknown some years ago as full-hack for the Southern Football Club. Mr Reidy, who-was born at Invercargill, was a son of the late Mr Maurice Reidy, a well-known athlete in Southland, and was educated at the Marist Brothers School, Invercargill. Mr Reidy first came to Dunedin with the Southland scchoolboys’ team and played against the Otago schools’ team at Tahuna Park. Returning to reside in Dunedin, he joined up with the Southern Football Club and played as £ull-bacK in the memorable' match between Southern and University on the Caledonian Ground in 1912, in which year Southern won the banner. Retiring from football, Mr Reidy took an active part in the committee of the club,, and _ also acted as selector for the Otago junior representative team. He represented Otago in 1919. Mr Reidy had a wide circle of friends on and off the field, and is survived by his wife, four daughters, and one son. The funeral took place at the Anderson’s Bay Cemetery yesterday, the Rev. Father M'Devitt officiating.
