M'GIASKAN'S V. ST. KEVIN'S HOME SIDE BATTIKS Bright batting marked the commencement of the annual cricket match between M'Glashan College and &t. Kevin’s College (Camaru) on the Logan Park No. 1 wicket this morning, the home side beginning promisingly on au easy wicket. Caix-ney treated the spectators to a free exhibition of batting, while Fraser was also forceful, making his runs in attractive fashion. The outfield was fast, aiid the ot. Kevin’s ground fielding weak. Batting first on a firm wicket, Cairney and Hoggans opened the home side’s innings, Egan and Kean taking up the attack. Both batsmen commenced quietly, Egan’s first two overs being maidens, and Cairney notching a single in Kean’s first. Hoggans, an attractive bat despatched Kean, a medium-slow bowler, for the ’ Cairney interspersing a run ot single with a brace.
