STRICKLAND BEATS CAMPBELL TIMARU, November 15. In a disappointing contest to-night Maurice Strickland gained the decision over Alan Campbell on a technical knock-out in the seventh round. Strickland had the better of the contest throughout. Campbell was severely punished in the last round, and, though the gong saved him, he intimated to the referee that ho was not fit to continue.
