ATTENDANCES IN BRITAIN INTERESTING FIGURES. (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, RUGBY, September 11. Figures relating to tiie cinematograph business in Britain were,, given at a British Association meeting at Aberdeen, and revealed that the public paid £40,200,000 for admission to British. cinemas last year, the entertainment tax revenue amounting to £6,700,000. Of 476 imported films registered for distribution in Britain during the year, remittances to the United States in respect to 330 of them, representing 90 per cent, to 95 per cent, of the value of the total imports, amounted to £5,300,000.
