Examination of the body of Carmclo Mentisano revealed seventy-three wounds, which had been inflicted with a long, heavy filleting knife. Concetta Ciaquinta was remanded on a charge of murder. [Carmelo Mentisano, aged 36, an Italian, was found dying in a cottage on the waterfront with deep gashes in his head. One arm was almost severed and the other arm and legs were deeply gashed in at least twenty places. Concetta Ciaquinta, aged 30, who lived with her husband in the same house as the dead man, was subsequently arrested on a charge of wilfully murdering Mentisano.]
