COMMUNITY SINGING
Tills week another splendid programme has been. arranged by the loader (Mr H. P. Desmoulins). The members of the New Zealand Maori Rugby football team are expected to be present, and it is hoped that they will give some of the Maori songs and hakas. The sing -will be held in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of Messrs Fullcr-TTayward) on Friday, at 12.15 p.m. Mr Alf. Pettitt will be at the pi- no Messrs Moss and Jackson 172 and 74 years of age) will sing a duet. Donations can he left at Begg’s or Strand Theatre, The proceeds are for the mayor’s unemployment fund.
