BANKRUPT'S CRASH
——.—— SHOE POSSESSED £500,000 Application was made in the London Bankruptcy Court lately for the discharge of Mr James Childs Gould, company director, who was adjudged bankrupt last year. It was stated that the ranking liabilities were estimated at £63.853, which included the unsatisfied judgment for £50,000 under Mr Gould’s previous bankruptcy in 1925. The assets, estimated at £IOO, had realised nothing. Counsel for bankrupt explained that at one time Mr Gould possessed a fortune of half a million, every penny of which he used in trying to bolster up the shipping industry he thou represented. But ho had not enough; and everything that his wife had went too. The registrar stated ho must suspend the discharge for two years.
