WEATHER CONTRASTS IN BRITAIN (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. RUGBY, September 8. There have been remarkable weather contrasts in different parts of the British Isles during the past twenty-four hours. - Exceptionally warm and dry weather was experienced in England, particularly in the south-eastern counties, last night, with a midnight tem7>erature in Loudon of 71. It was the hottest since July. The day temperature yesterday rose to 82. Meanwhile from Scotland and Ireland abnormal rainfalls have been reported.
