REWARD DOUBLED IN RICGARTON CASE POLICE STILL HOPE FOR SOLUTION {From Ob* Parliamentary Eipoetee.J WELLINGTON, September 11. The Government has decided to in* crease the reward offered for the dc* tection of the Riccarton murderer from £3OO to £6OO. Donald Fraser, licensee of the Racecourse Hotel, Rio carton, was murdered in his bedroom on the morning of November 17 last. The original reward of £3OO was offered two months ago, about the time that the inquest was held, when a verdict of murder against some person unknown was returned. Mr Cobbe said to-day that the police had not slackened in their investigation, and hoped to obtain evidence that would ultimately lead to the detection of the murderer.
