WARSHIP FOR SALE
NEW SLOOP UNDER CONSTRUCTION (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, September 7. The Admiralty announces that it has been decided to pay off H.M.S. Enchantress and place her on the sale list. She is over thirty years old and considerable expenditure would be required to make her fit for further service.
The sloop Bittern now under construction at Clydebank, will be renamed the Enchantress, and on completion, in addition to performing her normal duties, will ho made available for occasional use by the Board of the Admiralty for inspections of naval ports and visits to the fleet.
