PRICE OF MILK.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I am glad that people are waking up sufficiently in Mosgiel to resent the profiteering of the milk vendors. Milk is supposed to be a necessity for babies and growing children, but at 5d a quart the poor relief workers’ babies have to go without it. A, friend of mine in St. Clair gets two quarts of beautiful milk for 6d. Think what a godsend it would be for a working man to get tw'o quarts of milk for 6d instead of one quart for sd. The majority of workers have to make a pint of the precious commodity serve their homes. If one of the Dunedin companies came out to Mosgiel I am sure it would find plenty of customers. —I am, etc., Wake Ur, Mosgiel. September 8.
