ON FRENCH FRONTIER PARIS, August 21. The impregnable wall of concrete and steel on the Franco-German border will have a strong north-western branch all along the Franco-Belgian border, as the result of orders issued to-day by the War Minister, Marshal Retain. The region between Margut and Arrancy, which it was originally intended should be defended by mobile artillery centres, will now be given over to subterranean fortifications; thus forming a complete chain from the English Channel to Switzerland.
