MAN SHOUTS INTO MICROPHONE •• down with the black SHIRTS " Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyrigt. LONDON, September 7. Imitating the false broadcast which caused a panic in Austria on the day that Dr Dollfuss was killed, a man who was passing the microphone in a London restaurant while a dance band was playing shouted: “ Demonstrate against Fascism next Sunday. Down with Mosley and his Black Shirt cut-throats!” This reference to the Fascist demonstration planned for Hyde Park on Sunday was heard by listeners throughout the country. There was a similar incident at another dance hall on the previous night. An official of the 8.8. C. said that organisers of dances and other functions which were broadcast had been warned recently that it was necessary to safeguard microphones.
