TAIERI CLUB The retiring president (Mr A. S. Murray) presided over a good attendance of members at the Taieri Cricket Club’s annual meeting. The report and balance-sheet, read by the secretary (Mr W. Muirhead), showed a successful and enjoyable year and a healthy financial position. In addition to the play on the field a number of successful social functions had been held. Mr Murray, in proposing the adoption of the annual report and balancesheet. thanked all who had helped during the year. The following office-bearers were elected -President. Mr D. L. Livingston ; senior vice-president, Mr L. Ooogue; secretary, Mr W. Muirhead; treasurer, Mr Fogo; committee —Messrs A. Murray, R. Kirk. J. Renton, R. Cameron, F. Scott, R. Low, and E. Childs; coach, Mr R. Low; umpires Messrs R. Harrison. C. H. Leith, and W. Kirkland; auditor. Mr C. C. M‘Lacl]lan ; captain. Mr J). Bowie. Last year’s list of vice-presidents was reelected, with the addition of Mr T. Tomkins, jun. The opening day was fixed lor October 0.
