SAFETY MEASURES IN BRITAIN COUNCIL TO MEET WEEKLY. (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, September 5. The Road Council, over which Major Hore-Belisha (Minister of Transport), presides, will meet weekly to consider tho questions of safety on the roads. The council will be representative of all sections of road users.. The Minister is calling meetings of thirty-three local authorities in the London Countv area to discuss the provision in all districts concerned of pedestrian crossings. • Included among the duties of tho council will be a review of the highway code and its redrafting in the light of any modifications found necessary.
