ARRIVAL IN SYDNEY OPENING GAME ON WEDNESDAY Press Association By Telegraph Copyright. SYDNEY, July 30. (Received July 30, at 1.10 p.m.) Pouring rain greeted the All Blacks on their arrival by the Maunganui this morning. The manager (Air Geddes) states that all the members of the party arc in the pink of condition after a good trip, during which the customary physical exercises were employed to keep them fit. The team was to have practised on the Cricket Ground this morning, but this was rendered impossible by the weather, which now shows signs of clearing. A practice will definitely be held in the afternoon if the weather is at all suitable. The following is the probable team to play Western Districts at Orange on Wednesday:— Full-back, Collins. Three-quarters Bullock-Douglas, Canghey, Hart.' Five-eighths, Griffiths and Page. Half-back, Kilby, Forwards: Front row —Hadley and Lambourne-; ■ second' • row—Alahoney, Knight, Max, aiid Manchester; back row, Al'Lean. It is to be noted that the forwards are playing the 3-4-1 formation. The reserves are: Backs, Lilburue and Oliver; forwards, Al’Keuzie and Leeson. The team will be definitely picked after the practice this afternoon. The president and council of the New South Wales Rugby Union welcomed the visitors at an informad gathering at 12.30 to-day. QUEENSLAND TEAM BRISBANE, July 30. (Received July 30, at 1.5 p.m.) Like New South Wales, tho_ Queensland Rugby T T nion selected its team early to meet the New Zealanders. The team is: Full-back.
