ITS PRESCRIBED LIMITS

Parents who, “ for reasons not unconnected with snobbery and social prejudice,’' keep their children at public schools until they are seventeen or eighteen, regardless of their capacity to benefit from such education, have a critic in Mr H Ramsbotham, Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education. “ They are unaware-that an old school tie cannot disguise a young fool’s head,” he remarked.
