SELECTION OF CANDIDATES Press Association— By Telegraph Copyright MELBOURNE, July 28. (Received July 28, at 11.5 a.m.) A group of tw’ol United Australia Party members and one Country Party member has been endorsed by the U.A.P. Council for the Senate. The endorsed candidates are Major-general C. H. Brand, Mr J. W. Leckie, arid Mr W. G. Gibson. The leader and deputy-leader of the Federal Parliamentary: Country Party announced that they will stand behind' Senator Elliott, and express surprise , and regret _ that Mr Gibson has accepted nomination.’
