An indoor bowling tournament was held, when two teams from each Rechabite tent competed. The best performance was put up by the Sisters’ team of the Hope of Dunedin Tent, which was responsible for its tent winning the competition. Star of the South Tent and Sobriety Tent tied for second place. The auditor. (Bro. E. A. Rosevear) reported that the balancesheet and quarterly returns were correct, and pointed out that the amount of arrears owing by members appeared to be too high. Nevertheless the funds were in a healthy state, and ho congratulated the tent on its financial position. “ Past Chief Ruler’s Night ” was set down on the syllabus for next meeting. The six-weekly meeting of the Otago Provincial Council was held, C.R. Bro. A. Johnston presiding over a good attendance of delegates. -Arrangements were made for the forthcoming juvenile competition in singing and elocution, and the test pieces were handed to the juvenile superintendents for distribution. It was resolved to purchase juvenile centenary flags and .badges for the celebrations to- be held next year. P.S.J.T. Sister E. K. Gain an-‘ nonneed that the Primrose Shield had been won by the Rising Star Juvenile Tent and arrangements were made, for the presentation of. the trophy. It was decided to hold the Martin Cup Initiation Competition on ■ November 7 and the interprovincial contest on November 17. The secretary was instructed to communicate with the Canterbury and Southland Provincial Councils pointing out that it would be necessary for their respective teams to compete with the local team at Dunedin on that date., ■
