SATURDAY, MAY 19. (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) STOLE CRICKET CLUB FUNDS. “ I have some hesitation in admitting the accused to probation,” said the magistrate concerning John Herbert Findlay, who appeared for sentence on a charge of theft of £6 Is, the property of the Tomahawk Cricket Club. He was in possession of a knife, and was threatening people with it and brandishing it about the street.
