(Received May 19, at 1.30 a.m.) Stringent regulations Have been framed by the Commonwealth Department of Health to obviate the introduction of infectious diseases by means of aeroplanes and airships, particularly from the East. Pilots must notify the time of their arrival and produce certificates showing that the passengers are free from infectious disease, also that the aeroplanes have been sprayed at the last port. Passengers must also produce certificates that they have been successfully vaccinated and give an undertaking to notify the Health Department if they become sick within eighteen days after their arrival. The regulations will not apply to New Zealand.
