“TIME TO THINK."
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—For some considerable time 1 have been at a loss to understand various so-called economic measures sponsored by our Minister of Finance. Thanks to the _ Press Association message appearing in to-night’s ‘ Star ’ the mystery is solved. I can quite understand these measures as the efforts of a man who has not got time to think. 1 would suggest shifting Parliament bolus bolus to Waiho Gorge immediately, as Wellington is evidently not suitable for working and thinking at the same time. Should accommodation b© limited at Waiho Gorge, married M.P.s (and their staffs) could for 2s 6d a week secure tents from the Unemployment Board (if it happened to have any).— 1 am, etc., Worker and Thinker. May 17.
